about us

At Walker Avenue Nursery we are passionate about plants and nature and beauty and bugs and people

Walker Avenue Nursery, founded in September 2009, is nestled amid the picturesque wetlands of the Laguna de Santa Rosa. A unique feature of our nursery is that all the water we use is sourced from the city's water reclamation plant. This sustainable practice aligns with our commitment to conservation and care for the environment. Our expertise lies in cultivating a diverse array of plants perfectly suited to thrive in heavy, waterlogged soils, as well as an extensive collection of native wetland and lower riparian plants indigenous to California.

Special Note Regarding Invasive Species

Rules and regulations are changing for selling water plants because of environmental concerns should they be released into the wild. Each agricultural county may have rules concerning plant ratings that differ from in the past. We will do our best to stay abreast of the changes but please be aware that our list may offer plants that come under restriction in your county.

Most important is not to release plants into the wild
Please compost or properly dispose of whole plants or plant parts when you are dividing, detailing, or removing from the pond.
